Brad Keselowski

Ironman Effort Gives Keselowski Crucial Win at Pocono Raceway

Long Pond, Pennsylvania, USA. 7th August, 2011

Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS), picked up his second win of 2011 in the Good Sam RV Insurance 500 at Pocono Raceway on Sunday afternoon. Adidas supported Keselowski, who earlier in the week had been involved in a serious accident while testing at Road Atlanta, gave his best Willis Reed impersonation as he battled through a fractured ankle and strained back suffered in the crash to secure the victory. In the process, the Penske Racing driver placed himself in the lead for one of the two wild card berths into the 2011 “Chase for the Championship.”

“We had a fast Miller Lite Dodge Charger today and I was really good coming off of Turn 3,” said Keselowski. “(Crew chief) Paul (Wolfe) worked on this car and made it better all day. I knew that if we got out front on that last restart, we’d be tough to catch. I had a mirror full of the 18 car, (but) our Dodge was just a little bit better today. Runs like this are great and show that we can do it. I’ve got a good team-mate in Kurt, he helped me out. It takes people like that and people on this team working together. It’s really turned around (at) Penske Racing. It’s made it something that I’m really proud to be a part of and I’m looking forward to years of success here.”

Keselowski Celebrates Victory at Kansas Speedway

Keselowski Plays Fuel Strategy Perfectly to Earn Victory at Kansas Speedway

Kansas, USA. 5th June 2011

Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS), earned a hard-fought victory in the STP 400 at Kansas Speedway on Sunday afternoon. Adidas supported Keselowski and crew chief, Paul Wolfe, executed a perfect fuel strategy over the final 20 laps to secure the win. The result represented Keselowski’s second career NSCS win and first with Penske Racing, following his victory at Talladega Superspeedway in April of 2009.

"We’ve been so close with the Miller Lite Dodge this year," said Keselowski. "We’ve been plugging away. I had a car last week that sat on the pole and had a shot at it and just caught the wrong line on the restart. The same thing at Dover and Darlington – we could just never catch that good break. You can only put yourself in that position so many times before you’re going to catch the right break. We caught a great break today because of all the hard work by the Miller Lite team that works on these Dodge Chargers. I knew we had a top-10 car today and we were able to get a win. That's what good teams do. We got great gas mileage and that doesn’t hurt either."

Following Saturday’s result, Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge team gained four positions and currently sit 21st in the Cup Series driver and owner point rankings.

Autosport International Show, Birmingham, UK. 15th January 2010

Porsche Carrera Cup GB Scholarship winners Michael Meadows and Euan Hankey had their first races of 2010 when they were part of the Race-Boots Boys squad in the David Brabham Celebrity Karting Challenge at Autosport International on Friday (15 January 2010).

Meadows and Hankey were part of a six-man team under the adidas brand and joined GP2 racer Sam Bird and British Formula Ford racer Josh Benson for the 90-minute race. Completing the driver squad were Tio Ellinas and Andrew Fearly.

The race was organised by Racing4Charity, and was designed to raise money for ‘Malaria No More UK’. Richard Westbrook wins Tourist Trophy race at Silverstone

Westbrook gets FIA GT campaign of to a platinum start

Silverstone, United Kingdom. 3rd May, 2009

adidas and Race-Boots.com supported Richard Westbrook got his 2009 FIA GT Championship campaign off to the best possible start with a win in the famous Tourist Trophy race at Silverstone. The Londoner, sharing with Emmanuel Collard, rocketed the Prospeed Competition Porsche 997 GT3 RSR through the field from a qualifying position of seventh to secure a victory the team never dreamt was possible. “ Our expectations were really low after qualifying,” said two-times Porsche Supercup champion. We were hoping we might sneak a podium, but it was a really fantastic race and the team did a great job.”

Westbrook and Collard emerged on top after a battle with the Ferrari of rivals Gianmaria Bruni and Toni Vilander. Both cars were carrying a 50kg penalty before the race weekend due to the FIA decreeing both teams drivers were all of ‘platinum’ standard. “Its designed to make racing closer and give more cars a chance, “said Westbrook. “but 50kg is a lot of weight to carry, especially at Silverstone where there are so many long fast corners.”

Now Westbrook and Collard defend their championship lead into the second round, at the twisty Adria circuit in Italy on May 16th.

Bradley Smith wins in Jerez

Smith takes runaway first victory in Spain

Jerez, Spain. 3rd May 2009

In his 50th Grand Prix adidas and Race-Boots.com supported Bradley Smith shot to his first ever victory by a 13 second margin at the Gran Premio bwin.com de España on Sunday. Scott Redding was close to the podium in fourth place and Danny Webb was in the top ten, on a great day for the British 125cc riders.

Not always a great starter Smith got away brilliantly and immediately built up a good lead at the front. By the midway point in the race the 18 year-old from Oxfordshire, had given himself an 18 second advantage, riding a lonely race to eventually cross the line still well ahead of the chasing pack for his maiden GP triumph.

After pole man Julián Simón and series leader Andrea Iannone both crashed Smith went unchallenged en route to victory, the Briton closing to within one point of Iannone in the standings.

“I have waited a long time for this moment, but when it finally arrives you just don’t know how it feels” explained Smith. “Everything with the bike and team worked perfectly and it was the perfect way to win my first grand prix at Jerez in front of such a massive crowd.”
